Father's Day

This week's Picnic Table Talk Topic (try to say that 3 times fast!) is Father's Day. I haven't been part of Table Talk the last two weeks because the kids have been sick so I'm happy to be a part of it this week.

This is going to be another "darn, I wish I had my computer back so I could share pictures" post because my girls made the cutest Father's Day presents at school. They were so proud of them and couldn't wait to give them to their dad!

My soon-to-be-tomorrow 9 year old wrote her dad an acrostic poem for My Dad Is A Great Catch so although I can't share the art work, I thought I'd share the poem to celebrate my husband-an awesome dad!

Mighty
You are the best!

Does things for me
Awesome at sports
Dad

I love you
So cool

All mine

Great guy
Right away when he gets home, he kisses me
Easy to get along with

Tight hugs
Coolest dad ever
Has a big heart

Thank you to all the great dads out there!

School's Out For The Summer!!

Today is my girls' last day of school!!! They are very excited! They love school but it's time for a break and some relaxation. It's a tough day though, it's my oldest daughter's last day in her elementary school-unbelieveable!

We've got lots of fun things planned for the summer. I told the girls we'd make a list today of all the things we want to do-course my oldest chimed in right away with "go to Hawaii". Sounds like we might have a luau this summer :)

We've got a few camping trips planned, a trip to Hershey Park, some sports camps, visiting friends and lots of swimming and playing.

We're starting off our fun tomorrow with a visit to a house they are building for Home Extreme Makeover. We love this show and they are in our area this week-so exciting!! We were on pins and needles yesterday waiting to find out where the house is-all we knew was it was in our area somewhere. Last night, we found out it was about an hour away-not too bad and I got all the info on where to park and get the shuttle bus. Sounds like it's very organized. We can't wait!!

We've had lots of exciting things happen in the past week
6th grade graduation (sniff, sniff, the girls all looked beautiful but so grown up)
bridging from Brownies to Juniors (my 8 yr old was so excited)
the baby's first haircut (well, just a trim, his bangs were so long, I didn't want to cut his hair but when his sister put his bangs in a ponytail, I figured it was time)
but I can't share any pictures :( Our computer is out being fixed and I'm on the old one that is
sssssooooooo ssssllllllooooowwwwww!!
Very annoying!
It's so old, I can't put my memory stick in so hopefully the new one will be back soon and I'll be able to share lots of pictures!

Have a great week!!!

Monogram Party!!

It's time for the Monthly Craft Challenge with Heidi at Blue Eyed Blessings. Yeah!! Last month the challenge was to use ribbon and everybody came up with really creative ideas. My "things I'd like to make" list got much longer as I checked out everyone's projects. This month the challenge is monograms.

I love using monograms on tshirts. It's quick and easy and makes a plain tshirt real special. I just made this tshirt for my 5 year old. I bought the tshirt at Target-I watch for them to go on sale or clearance- and she picked out the fabric.

These tshirts make great birthday presents-easy for me but unique. I made two over the weekend for twins but forgot to take pictures before the party. They were cute-both tshirts were white. For one, my daughter picked out watermelon fabric and for the other she picked out strawberry fabric. I made headbands to match each just like I did for this gift I made a few months ago.

Check out some other great monogram ideas! I just ordered new comforters for my older daughters' room and I've gotten a few ideas to add to their room.

The Guest that won't Leave!! (and some fun stuff)

No, we haven't had any company..... just a virus that's been going around our house. It's overstayed it's welcome and I think it's time for it to pack up and leave. I love company but I wouldn't mind if it never comes back to visit us again :)

My oldest daughter started last Monday night, the baby over the weekend and my 3 year old today. It's a fever and cough and it's knocking them all out.

So, after nursing the baby nonstop over the weekend, I found a couple of great things I thought I'd share.

Tip Junkie is having a Going Dot Come Birthday Bash starting on June 15th to celebrate changing her website address. She's hosting a giveaway with 50 amazing prizes.

ABC and123 is having a Zooples & Co giveaway this week-one lucky winner will get a choice of the following
~a set of ABC Animal Flash Cards,
or~an 8x10 Animal Art Print of your choice,
or~ a set of Cute Animal Coasters!
All adorable-very bright and cheery!

Heidi at Blue Eyed Blesssings is hosting her Monthly Craft Challenge this Thursday. This month the theme is monograms. Would you believe I had my project done and completed this weekend-it was for a birthday party-and I forgot to take a picture!!!! Just part of all the craziness last week. I promised my daughter I'd make her one too so I'm still going to join in. I love to see everyone else's projects.

Here's to a healthier week!!

Hope you all have a good one!!
