How to make your mom feel old.....Part 2

With my daughter's birthday last week and my son's coming up, the girls and I were chatting over the weekend about birthdays, when they were all born and when I got married.

My 6 year old: I can't believe how young you was when you were married.
(I was 24, turned 25 on my honeymoon.....oh a birthday in Hawaii-how I'd love to do that again some day.!)

My 9 year old: Yeah, you were so much younger when you got married and had a baby.

Me: What, you think I'm old now.....

My 9 year old: No (slight pause)- not old, just not that much younger anymore.

Good way to try to make nice to mom!!

I'm very honored and excited to be featured today on Somewhat Simple

Steph is highlighting Baby and Kid items and she featured some of the baby bibs I've made for gifts!

WOW!

Dawn, did you get my email last week? Here it is just in case...

Hi Dawn!

Happy Belated New Year!!!

I wanted to let you know that you are my Olive Kid's Personalized Placemat Winner. But I also have wanted to let you know I am a bit concerned about the sponsor right now. The first couple of emails I had back and forth with my contact, I got quick responses back. When I sent along the link to my post I got no kind of acknowlegement, which has never happened before.

So please send me which placemats you'd want along with which name on each. I will forward the information to the sponsor and we'll have to keep our fingers crossed that they follow through. If we don't hear back, I will call them also to check on things.

I'm sorry it's a congratulations but email...:( I am hoping I am worried for no reason.

Sincerely,
Katie from Katie's Nesting Spot

Can you please get back to me on this? Thanks!

Aren't kids the greatest for pointing out things like age? Gotta love 'em.

Man I wonder what mine will say some day to me. I was 30 when I got married. I guess that is not so young. Have a great day.

Saw you on SITS...
We have a lot in common... by that I mean our name, lots of kids, crafting and blogging and being OLD! LOL!
You, however, are not as OLD as I.
My kids tell people I am 99 and Daddy is 43. I used to be offended, now I think " Hot Dog! I look good for 99!" LOL
But then the kids think anyone over the age of 20 is OLD!

Looking forward stopping by often!

Haha! Kids are so great. I just realized the other day that (as I am about to turn 25) I won't be in my early 20's anymore, and that made me feel a little bit old. But hey, that's good, 'cause let's face it, young people are kind of....idiots :o)
P.S. Thanks for stopping by my blog! I'm glad you liked the sweater!
