Back to School

School started this week.
Not a very good week to start school.
I was hoping the heat would break before school started but the summer weather isn't ready to start school yet.
Neither am I!
It's my first experience with full day kindergarten too and I so wish our school still only did half day kindergarten.

It's been a bittersweet, nostalgic, feeling like somethings out of place kind of week for me....missing the girls during the day and wishing school hadn't started....... .but then secretly being a little thankful for school when I'm enjoying the afternoon while my son naps and after they've been home for 10 minutes and already fighting with each other.

So...the baby and I have been hanging together.

Playing outside, taking walks, flying through the grocery store with just one child contained in the shopping cart.

He's happy he doesn't have to share any toys during the day.

But cries when we drop the girls off.

Kind of like I want to.

That pretty much sums up how I feel. I enjoy those couple of quiet moments that I get but would much rather just have all my babies home. My oldest started 8th as well. I can't believe this time next year, he'll be in high school! ACK! As much as I love summer, now that school is here, it needs to start cooling down.

They are growing up so fast and adorable as ever! I can't even imagine the sadness I'll have when it is school time for my little guy! Enjoy naptime and do some crafting!

What sweet babies! They are just precious! They grow up waaaay too fast don't they? It is much easier to run errands with one, isn't it? I only have one left at home too. She finally quit whining after two week so fhtem being in school, but she counts down until time to pick them up.

Such sweet back to school photos, Dawn! Enjoy your time with the baby. I'm planning on doing that with my younger daughter on the days that the older one is at preschool this year. :) Thanks for linking up with me!

My last baby just started Kindergarten, so I know how you are feeling, although my Little Dude is rather naughty, so it's mixed with elation that I get a break...

Enjoy this time with your baby boy. I'm sure he is loving the mommy time!

Adorable kiddos! Sweet post. I know how you feel. My kids start school on Tuesday and I have mixed feelings. I am so ready for them to not be home all day everyday but I am also going to miss our hanging out time.
