Monogram Party!!

It's time for the Monthly Craft Challenge with Heidi at Blue Eyed Blessings. Yeah!! Last month the challenge was to use ribbon and everybody came up with really creative ideas. My "things I'd like to make" list got much longer as I checked out everyone's projects. This month the challenge is monograms.

I love using monograms on tshirts. It's quick and easy and makes a plain tshirt real special. I just made this tshirt for my 5 year old. I bought the tshirt at Target-I watch for them to go on sale or clearance- and she picked out the fabric.

These tshirts make great birthday presents-easy for me but unique. I made two over the weekend for twins but forgot to take pictures before the party. They were cute-both tshirts were white. For one, my daughter picked out watermelon fabric and for the other she picked out strawberry fabric. I made headbands to match each just like I did for this gift I made a few months ago.

Check out some other great monogram ideas! I just ordered new comforters for my older daughters' room and I've gotten a few ideas to add to their room.

Very Cute Shirt. How long does it take to make one of these?

It doesn't take long at all-I think this one took me about 1/2 hour. Once you get all your supplies together, it goes quickly.

Loving this!! What a great idea, especially for a fun, unique, (and usable) gift for a younger child. I love that you made matching head bands...even better!!

Thanks for joining in the challenge this month!

This is so cute! I love your idea to make them for birthday gifts-I know a lot of little girls that would love one of these. I really like your matching headbands.

The t-shirt is adorable. I can see my daughter loving a pink shirt with "her A" on it!

I have been planning on making monogram shirts, I bought my t-shirts from Target too! I am not a talented seamstress so I've bought that super hefty duty iron on stuff, that says not to sew it on after. I'm hoping that will keep things on and in place for a few washings at least.
