Word of the Year

Laurie at Tip Junkie posted today about a Word of the Year-

Can you identify a single word that sums up what you want for yourself in 2009?

Although it's now the second week of January and I haven't posted any New Year's goals like I planned to-I have been thinking about what I would like to work on this year. When I read Laurie's post, I thought of one word and I'm going to make it my word of the year.

RELAX

Now, not lay on the couch in my pj's all day reading a book relax-which I would definitely love to do-but relax in not worrying so much about everything like

if the house is picked up/cleaned if company's coming over
folding laundry right away
if the girls' hair is not brushed or
their clothes don't match
PTO stuff
and a million other probably silly stuff I worry about all day

and just enjoying the days and the kids and the weather and playing and crafting and our happiness and not losing any time anymore to silly worrying about silly things!

So there is my word and I'm going to just try to relax!!

What a good word! I can totally relate. :) I know for me so much is self imposed. I want to get this done, or that needs to be finished, or this is how my house is supposed to look, etc. It's hard to let all that go and just enjoy being a wife and mother! I think that would be my word: ENJOY!

Hope you have a very relaxing day!

Great choice! I chose enjoy last year and that helped me to relax a lot more, actually! LOL!

Oh, and to put the link in a word:

Highlight the word you want the link embedded in. Then click on the icon that looks like a little world with a metal link on each side (it is in between the text color icon and the left align icon). In the box that pops up you type in the link and hit okay. The link should now be embedded in that word. If you want it embedded in a phrase just highlight the whole phrase.

Hope that makes sense! :)

Worrying can be such a hinderance! I will try to "relax" too. Thank you.

ohh thats a good one! I could do some of that, but I really do like to be in my pjs with a book. I don't think I would actually get though a single morning getting the kids off to school! Good Luck!

Dawn. Absolutely! I do not even know how to just sit and watch tv. I make calls on the treadmill and on and on.... I am so glad you have joined me on this word. Let's relax and enjoy our bounty of blessings!
